I'm Yarie the proud founder and creative mind behind this African American woman-owned business. Growing up, music has always been the soundtrack of my life, especially the smooth rhythms of R&B. R&B has always held a special place in my heart. It’s more than just music; it’s a lifestyle and an experience.
I created Apt.53 to bring that same energy into a new space—your home. Each candle is thoughtfully curated and named after a popular R&B song, designed to evoke the same emotions you feel when you hear your favorite track. Whether you're winding down after a long day, setting the mood for a cozy evening, or simply indulging in some self-care, my candles are here to enhance every moment.
Why Candles and R&B?
Because I believe in the power of both to transform a space and uplift the spirit. Lighting a candle can change the energy of a room, just like hearing the opening chords of an iconic R&B song can instantly shift your mood.
